Greg Behrendt is a stand up comedian, author, musician, and much more. A true renaissance man. We met him in 2005 shortly after the release of his best selling book “He’s Just Not That Into You”. His career was growing in many different directions and he came to us to create a brand and website that encompassed all of his many talents and delivered them seamlessly to his fans. The blessing and curse that comes with being a multi-talented artist like Greg is that he has a number of distinct audiences he needs to reach. Some of these are people who love him for the book and watched his daytime talk show. Others are die hard comedy fans who have followed his long comedy career and want to see him perform when he comes through their town. Most recently, there is a new group of online deviants he has built through his hilarious weekly podcast Walking the Room, which he does with his good friend, and talented comedian, Dave Anthony.

Our challenge was not just to design a simple website that displayed tour dates, video clips, and headshots. It was to create a brand and a place on the internet for Greg that could tie all of the different aspects of his career together in one place, make it easy for him to personally deliver information to his broad array of fans, and promote crossover to make each of his distinct audiences aware of the other aspects of his career.

We accomplished this by designing a brand that conveys his love of cardigans, argyle, clowns, and 50’s nostalgia. We then applied that brand to his main website and the satellite sites that exist for his other endeavors like Walking the Room. The result is this new website that he controls completely with our custom content management system Newswire. Now his fan’s can get information on his many different endeavors directly on the site, link off to his satellite websites for more information, get tour dates for his personal appearances, Walking the Room appearances, and appearances of his band The Reigning Monarchs, and pretty much anything else Greg dreams up.
